Getting started
How do I get started?
Book a free meet & greet. I come to your home, meet your pet, and go over routines, keys, vet info and schedule before the first visit.
Is it the same person every visit?
Yes. Trust & Tail is just me, Cody Quinn. There are no rotating walkers, so your dog gets to know me and I get to know your dog.
Are you certified and background-checked?
Yes. I'm Pet CPR & First Aid certified and fully background-checked.
What are your hours?
7 days a week, 6am to 8pm, weekends included. Holidays are +$10 per visit or hike and +$35 per overnight.
Which areas do you serve?
Denver, Boulder, Golden, Arvada, Wheat Ridge, Lakewood, Westminster, Broomfield, Littleton, Superior and the nearby foothills. I'm based in west Denver. A small travel fee may apply outside the core area.
How do you get into my home?
Most clients use a key, garage code or lockbox. We set up the best option at the free meet & greet.
Will I get updates?
Yes. You get photos after every visit, and a GPS route is available on request.
Walks & runs
How much does dog walking cost?
A 30-minute one-on-one walk is $38 and a 60-minute walk is $58. A second dog from the same household is +$10, a run instead of a walk is +$5, and booking Monday–Friday every week takes 10% off.
Do you walk dogs in groups?
Neighborhood walks are one-on-one, or with the other dogs from your household. Small group outings only happen on adventure hikes, and only with dogs that are a good fit.
Where do you walk?
I head to the nearest park or trail big enough for a proper walk, not just a lap around the block. Walks are always on leash, and I follow local park rules.
Adventure hikes
How do adventure hikes work?
Group hikes are $68 per dog and solo hikes are $100, with pickup and drop-off included. We spend about 1.5–2 hours on dog-friendly foothills trails around Golden and Boulder, in groups of no more than 4. You get a post-hike report with photos.
Are hikes off leash?
Only on trails where it's allowed, and only once your dog has shown reliable recall and good manners. Until then we use a long lead.
What does my dog need for group hikes?
A quick temperament check before the first hike, friendliness with dogs and people, spayed or neutered, at least 6 months old, current on core vaccines like rabies and DHPP, and a secure collar or harness with ID.
Home visits & overnights
How much is pet sitting or an overnight stay?
Drop-in visits are $35 for 30 minutes or $55 for 60 minutes. Overnight stays run about 7pm to 7am for $125 a night. Each additional pet from the same household is +$10 per visit or +$15 per overnight. During a stay I also bring in mail and packages, water plants and handle lights and blinds.
Do you care for cats and give medications?
Yes. I care for dogs, cats and other pets, and I can give oral medications, eye and ear drops, and most topical treatments.
Poop scooping
How much does poop scooping cost?
For one dog it's $15 a visit weekly, $12 a visit twice weekly, or $26 every other week. One-time cleanups start around $65. Pet-safe deodorizing starts at $24. There's no contract, and you can start, pause or cancel anytime.
Pricing & plans
Do you offer discounts for regular clients?
Yes. Weekday walks booked Monday–Friday every week take 10% off, five weekday drop-ins a week take 10% off, a standing weekly group hike takes 10% off, and a monthly care plan puts everything on one invoice at 10% off.
Do you give back to animal rescue?
Yes. $1 from every service goes to a local dog rescue.
