Poop Scooping & Yard Cleanup Services in Denver Metro Area

Trust & Tail’s Poop Scooping & Yard Services keep your yard clean, healthy, and odor-free – so you and your pets can enjoy it without worry. We provide professional dog poop cleanup in Denver, Boulder, Golden, Arvada, and surrounding areas. Choose from convenient weekly scooping schedules or flexible one-time cleanups for special occasions. Our friendly, reliable team removes all pet waste, offers optional yard deodorizing, and even handles light yard chores (like bringing in trash bins or checking that gates are secured) to leave your yard spotless and safe. We’re fully insured, and all team members are background-checked and pet first-aid certified – meaning you can trust us in your yard and around your pets.

Our scoopers also monitor your dog’s feces for health issues. Changes in a pet’s poop can signal problems in diet or parasites, so we keep an eye out for anything unusual. If we notice signs of poor digestion, worms, or concerning changes, we’ll let you know right away. Regularly checking your pup’s “business” is an easy way to keep tabs on their health – and we help you do exactly that while keeping your yard clean.

  • One-Time Cleanups → A thorough “reset” for yards that need a fresh start (great after winter or before special events).
  • Recurring Scooping (Weekly / Bi-Weekly) → Consistent, scheduled service to keep your lawn spotless.
  • Pet-Safe Deodorizing (Optional) → Neutralize odors and bacteria in problem areas.
  • Extra Yard Care Touches → We’ll also handle small tasks like bringing trash bins to the curb, picking up debris, or securing gates.
  • Health Monitoring → We keep an eye on your dog’s waste for irregularities that may indicate diet issues, parasites, or illness — and let you know if we see anything concerning.

We believe in offering affordable, competitive rates for poop scooping in the Denver/Boulder area. Below is our standard pricing for recurring service, based on the number of dogs and visit frequency:

Freq.1 Dog2 Dogs3 DogsAdd’l Dogs
1X Week$15$18$21+$3
2X Week$12$15$18+$3
Bi-Week $20$24$28+$4
One Time~$65~$75~$85Quote

Rates above are per cleanup visit for ongoing service. We invoice monthly (at an averaged flat rate) for your convenience. Large yards over ¼ acre may incur a small extra fee of ~$1–$5 per visit. If you have more than 4 dogs, please contact us for a custom quote.

Initial Cleanups: If your yard hasn’t been cleaned in a while, an initial “deep clean” fee applies (one-time) due to the extra time required. This charge is based on the amount of waste accumulated and the yard’s condition (we’ll provide an estimate up front). For example:

  • 1–2 weeks since last cleanup: Approximately $35–$50 for one dog (minor buildup).
  • 1 month since last cleanup: Approximately $50–$75 for one dog (moderate buildup).
  • 2–3 months of accumulation: Approximately $75–$90 for one dog (heavy buildup).
  • 4–6+ months not cleaned: $100+ (major cleanup for long-term buildup; exact quote provided on-site).

These estimates are for one dog; additional dogs or extensive yards will add a bit to the cost. We have a $35 minimum for any initial cleanup with recurring service, and a $45 minimum for one-time-only cleanings (since scheduling a one-time involves extra travel/setup). We’ll always discuss the situation and give you an exact price before starting an initial or one-time cleanup.

Odor Control Treatment (Optional): Add lawn deodorizing to any service for an additional fee. Our pet-safe odor eliminator is sprayed after cleaning to neutralize smells at the source. Pricing starts at $24 for the first 200 sq. ft. of yard (about a 20×10 ft area), plus $14 for each additional 200 sq. ft. If you’re not a weekly scooping client and just want a stand-alone odor treatment, we can do that too (minimum $44 per treatment visit applies for non-clients to cover travel). This treatment uses a nontoxic, bio-enzymatic formula that’s safe for pets and kids while effectively breaking down odor-causing bacteria.

“Waste-Not” Container Service: Don’t want dog poop in your garbage bin? We offer an optional waste container service. We provide you with a special sealable pet waste bin (with eco-friendly liner bag) for your yard. Each week during service, we empty the bin and haul away the waste for disposal. The service is $10.00 per week (added to your plan) and there’s a one-time $20 setup fee for the container (the bin is yours to keep). This keeps odors out of your personal trash can and ensures waste is removed from your property. (If you don’t use the container service, our default practice is to double-bag the waste and place it in your outdoor trash bin at no charge.)

We love to reward our clients and the community

  • Multi-Service Bundles: Using us for dog walking, hikes, or pet sitting too? You can bundle services for savings. For example, add a full yard poop scoop to a scheduled dog walk for just +$10 (vs. booking it separately). We can also create custom monthly care plans (e.g. weekly walks + weekly scooping) with 10–15% off overall. Let us know your needs, and we’ll work out a discounted package!
  • Military, Senior & Disability Discount: To support our community, we offer 10% off poop scooping services for seniors (65+ years old), active-duty military/veterans, and clients with disabilities. It’s our way of saying thank you.
  • Referral Rewards: Love our service? Tell a friend! Refer a new client and get a free cleanup on us (ask for details). There’s no better compliment than a referral, and we make sure to repay the favor.

We’re proud to serve the Denver metro area, Boulder, Golden, Arvada, Wheat Ridge, Superior, and the surrounding areas including the foothills with professional, certified pet care you can count on.

For most households, a weekly cleanup is ideal to keep the yard sanitary. In fact, experts note that quick, regular removal of dog waste is key to preventing the spread of parasites and diseases. Once a week works well for many families, while those with multiple dogs or high-traffic yards often opt for twice-weekly service to stay on top of things. (If you have 3–4 dogs, two visits a week can be a big help.) We can also accommodate bi-weekly or monthly schedules or one-time deep cleanings upon request, but allowing poop to sit for more than a week isn’t recommended due to odor and health concerns. Our flexible plans let you choose what’s best for your household – and you can adjust frequency anytime.

Our yard scooping service is very thorough. On each visit, a uniformed Trust & Tail technician will find and pick up all the dog poop in your yard using sanitized tools. We take care to get every pile (we even scan those hidden spots under bushes or behind sheds). After scooping, we bag the waste and dispose of it appropriately – by default we tie the bags and place them in your outdoor trash can (unless you’ve opted for our haul-away container service). We always close and latch your gates behind us for security. If you added a deodorizing treatment, we’ll spray the yard to neutralize odors before we go. Our scoopers can also perform small courtesy tasks like moving garbage bins from curb, or will let you know if we spot anything unusual in the yard (for example, signs of digging, damage, or foreign objects). Essentially, we leave your yard clean, fresh, and worry-free after each visit!

It’s up to you. By default, we bag and place the dog waste into your outdoor trash bin (using a double-bag method to minimize smell). This is a common practice and avoids extra disposal fees. However, if you’d prefer that we haul away the waste, we offer our “Waste-Not” container service as an add-on. With that service, we provide a special bin and liner for your yard and remove the bag of waste from your property each week for a small fee ($10 per week, with a $20 setup) as part of your plan. The bin has a tight-closing lid to keep odors contained between visits. Many clients are fine with us using their trash can, but the choice is yours – either way, you never have to touch or smell the poop! (Note: If we’re disposing waste in your trash, we’ll typically use your bin liner unless otherwise directed. For the haul-away service, we handle all disposal off-site.)

Yes – our odor control spray is completely pet-safe and eco-friendly. We use a professional-grade enzyme-based deodorizer that neutralizes odor at the source without using harsh chemicals. In fact, it works by using natural bacteria and enzymes to break down odor molecules. This means it’s safe for dogs, cats, and people, and won’t harm your lawn or plants. The solution we use is non-toxic and biodegradable. We generally spray it on lawns or gravel areas after a cleanup; it dries quickly and leaves only a fresh scent behind. We always recommend keeping pets off the treated area for about 30 minutes just to let it dry fully, but after that it’s fine for them to romp around. If you have any specific sensitivities or preferences, let us know – but rest assured, we prioritize products that are safe for your pets and the environment.

No contracts required! We want you to use our service because you love it, not because you’re locked in. We do not require any long-term commitments – you can start, pause, or stop service at any time. We typically bill at the end of each month for whatever services were completed, so you’re only paying for what you actually received. If you ever need to skip a week (maybe you’re on vacation or your dog is away) just give us a heads up in advance and we’ll adjust the schedule. You can also easily cancel or reschedule service with no penalty – though we suspect once you see how nice a poop-free yard is, you won’t want to go back! 😉 Our goal is to make pet waste removal completely hassle-free for you. No pre-payments, no contracts, no stress. Just reliable service that you can use as long as you need us.
