Privacy policy

What I collect

Information you send me. When you use the contact form you give me your name, phone number and email address, and you can add your dog’s name and breed, your neighborhood or city, the service you’re interested in, a message, and any plan you build with the price estimator. The form also records which language version of the page you used. If you call, text, email or WhatsApp me, I receive your phone number or address and whatever you write.

Information about your pet and home. If you become a client, I collect what I need to care for your pet: routines, feeding and medication instructions, vet details, home access instructions and an emergency contact. I collect this at the meet & greet, not through this website.

Technical information. Like any website, the hosting provider records basic technical details when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These logs are used to deliver the site and keep it secure.

What this website does not do

This site does not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, tracking scripts or embedded social media widgets, and it does not store anything on your device. Fonts and images are served from the site itself.

How I use your information

• To reply to your request and schedule a free meet & greet.
• To provide, schedule and bill the services you book, and to send visit updates and photos.
• To keep my business records and meet legal obligations.
• To keep the website secure and filter spam.

I do not sell or rent your personal information, and I do not share it for advertising.

Phone calls and text messages

If you give me your phone number, I may call or text you about your request, your bookings and your pet’s visits. I do not send marketing texts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts won’t affect services you have booked; we’ll arrange another way to send updates.

Service providers who handle data for me

• Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and receives contact form submissions, which it stores and forwards to me. Netlify also screens form submissions for spam, using Akismet. Netlify’s privacy policy is at netlify.com/privacy.
• My phone, text, email and messaging providers carry the messages you send me.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. I may also disclose information if required by law, to protect someone’s safety (including your pet’s, in an emergency, such as sharing details with a veterinarian), or if the business is transferred.

Links to other sites

This site links to Google (reviews), Instagram, Facebook, Nextdoor and WhatsApp. Those sites only receive information from you if you click through, and their own privacy policies apply.

How long I keep information

I keep form messages and client details only as long as I need them to respond to you, provide the services you book and keep ordinary business and tax records. When I no longer need information, I delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask me to tell you what personal information I have about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can ask me to stop contacting you at any time. Email info@trustandtail.com or call or text (720) 646-9954. I’ll respond within 45 days and won’t treat you differently for making a request. I may need to confirm your identity first, and I may keep information the law requires me to keep.

Security

The site is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and I limit access to client information to myself. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so please don’t send sensitive details like payment card numbers through the contact form.

Children

This website is meant for adults and isn’t directed to children under 13. I don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent me information, contact me and I’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If I change how I handle information, I’ll update this page and the date below before the change takes effect.
